Real Madrid secured a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabéu on May 24, 2025, in their final La Liga match of the season.  Kylian Mbappé scored both goals, bringing his league tally to 30 and becoming only the fourth debutant in La Liga history to reach this milestone.  

The match was emotionally charged, marking the farewells of several football figures.  Real Madrid bid goodbye to manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to become Brazil's national team coach, and veteran midfielder Luka Modrić, concluding his 13-season tenure with the club.   Real Sociedad's manager, Imanol Alguacil, also managed his final game after a successful seven-year spell.  

With this win, Real Madrid finished second in La Liga with 84 points, while Real Sociedad ended 11th with 46 points.
